Happy Wednesday and happy late Thanksgiving! Hope everyone had a nice, peaceful, relaxing break. Before my break began I started to really stress out over school. All my assignments, papers, and service hours were all due before break. Therefore, I was trying to manage my time to the best of my ability. Of course, this meant I got minimal sleep. However it was all worth it once November 22 hit and my break began.
The first thing that I did when I got home was of course run to my parents and give them the biggest welcome home hug. However, I then proceeded to sprint up to my room to see my cat. Let me tell you, this moment I had with my cat was just about movie perfect. I ran upstairs to my room and immediately sat on the floor and yelled, "HOLLY!" Moments later Holly, my cat, ran into my arms, placed her head on my shoulder, and I then proceeded to cry tears of joy.
Believe it or not, I did not spend my entire break with my cat watching Netflix. The first full day I was in town I met up with two of my friends. The first stop I made was to get my nails done. I don't know about you, but I always feel more put together when my nails are done. After I got my nails done I went bowling. Turns out I'm not that bad at bowling, but my brother did still beat me :-( I bowled with my brother, my boyfriend, and one of my best friends. Needless to say we had a ball!
The next day was one of the best days of the year (besides Christmas) THANKSGIVING! I love Thanksgiving because nothing is better than eating a massive home-cooked meal. However, my favorite thing about thanksgiving is that I can eat as much as I want and not even feel bad about it. I had a great day with my family especially my Mimi and O'daddy. They live out of town in Kentucky so I don't get to see them as much as I wish I could.
At 6:30 in the morning, the next day, I of course went black Friday shopping. I personally like going early in the morning so I can beat the crowds and there are no lines! When I went shopping I got two shits from J. Crew and a cardigan from Loft. However, I also got my family some gifts!
Sadly, my last day of break has come. Since Thanksgiving was over, it was officially the Christmas season! And to start out the Christmas season my boyfriend, my brother, and I all got matching PJ's from Old Navy and made Christmas cookies! This was one of my favorite days of my break even though it was bitter-sweet because I knew I had to go back to school the next day.
As I arrived back to school reality had hit me. It was time to hit the books again and push through two more weeks of the semester!
XOXO,
Caroline
