Long Car Rides

No one likes long car rides and I am no exception. I dread the 5 hour long car ride to Nashville every time. Granted I know 5 hours may not seem like a long trip, but in the moment of the car ride it feels like forever. However, I have put together some tips and ideas to maybe make the drive more bearable.

Have a Bumpin' Play List |

I have a specific playlist on my Spotify that I play when I am driving down to Nashville. It is a mixture of all my playlists combined and only my favorite songs are on it so I can enjoy my music the whole way down. However, I made sure my playlist can play for 7 hours straight because of traffic and it allows you to skip some songs without going through your whole playlist!

Stop At Your Favorite Fast Food Place |

For me, White Castle is a treat so I make sure when I get hungry I can stop at White Castle. This gives me something to look forward to on my trip.

Snacks |

Whenever I stop to get gas I always run inside the gas station to pick up some of my favorite snacks. I usually get snacks that I usually don't eat because that just makes it even more fun picking them out!

Listen To Comedy |

Okay, this may sound silly but I actually love it! I learned this tip from a friend at Belmont! I put on a comedy station on Pandora and I am laughing the entire time. I have even gotten some funny looks from people while driving because I am laughing to hard.

Bring a Friend |

I realize I can not being a friend with me every time I go to school because they have school too, but this most recent time one of my best friends got to ride down with me because she started school a couple weeks after me. Obviously bringing a friend gives you someone to talk to and distract you from the long, boring drive. However, be safe and don't get distracted from the road because we all know that can happen!

XOXO,

Caroline
