Just Simply My Week

Winter break ended and I am now back in Nashville, Tennessee! I am so happy to be back in my favorite town, and I am even more happy that my best friend, Ellie, got to come to Nashville with me for a couple days! Sadly it was a short trip, and she left yesterday. BUT we had fun while it lasted! While she was here, we visited some of my favorite restaurants and I showed her around town. Her favorite part of the trip was probably the fact that Nashville was about 40 degrees, while back at home in Ohio it was in the low 20's! Other than the weather she loved walking down 12 south and visiting Draper James.

We drove down, so thankfully I did have my car, and therefore it was easy to take her places. The first night we arrived to Nashville mid-day and we drove straight through, so we were starving! Therefore, I took her to one of my favorite restaurants that is right across the street from Belmont, Chagos. Chagos is a tex-mex restaurant, and being from Ohio I have never heard of the term "tex-mex" until I came to Nashville. So, for those of you who don't know what tex-mex is, it is Texas-Mexican food. Very clever name right?! However, in other words, it is fake Mexican, but it is super good and I highly recommend tex-mex. I am sad to say we do not have any tex-mex in Ohio. After Chagos we both got to try Jeni's ice cream for the first time. Their flavors are definitely different, but I loved it! Later night that I finally got to unpack as she was watching Netflix.

During our first true day in Nashville we ran a ton of errands. We ran to Target TWICE! However, Ellie didn't mind because who doesn't love Target?! For lunch I took her to my favorite barbecue place, Martin's. If y'all ever get the chance to go to Nashville you need to stop and get some Martin's. It is my favorite barbecue EVER! Later that day I finally got to show her 12 South! 12 South is one of the cutest streets ever! I tend to take a ton of pictures here! For those of you who do not know, 12 South is where the "I Believe In Nashville" is, right next to Draper James! For dinner we decided to stay in waiting for my roomie, Emily, to arrive. We ordered Jet's Pizza, which is my favorite place to get deep-dish pizza. We have one in Ohio so I was thrilled that they had one in Nashville too! Once my roomie finally got back from North Carolina we went to Cookout to get us some milkshakes. Since cookout is right near Broadway, my roomie and I decided to show Ellie Broadway for the first time.

It is officially Ellie's last day in Nashville *sad moment,* and it was my first day of classes! I had a math class 12 - 12:50 so we basically just hung out all morning, and after class I had tumbling 2:30 - 3:30 so she got to watch me tumble! Later that day we went to The Cheesecake Factory at Green Hills Mall. Since we were already at the mall my roomie, Emily, needed some makeup, so we all stopped at Sephora. Of course, Ellie nor I needed anything from Sephora, but we both still managed to walk out with something. Emily got a new mascara from Bobbi Brown, Ellie got Urban Decay setting spray, and I got a new foundation form Bobbi Brown. Lastly, we all went back to the dorm and watched that Bachelor!

The next morning I sadly had to say goodbye to Ellie. However, she left around 6:45 so I didn't get to give her a proper goodbye because I was basically still asleep. Therefore, Ellie if you are reading this, sorry I wasn't fully awake and thanks for visiting!

XOXO,

Caroline
